This checklist was used on his console by Sliver Team Flight Director Neil Hutchinson during the Activation and Deactivation of the Skyhlab vehicle on the first manned flight (Skylab 2).  It servied as a quick reference on the console in MCC for the two subesquent flights, Skylab 3 and Skylab 4.  

This checklist will be accompanied by a hand signed COA from Neil Hutchison, "Silver Flight" himself.

Offered here is a rarely seen FLOWN cue card used and then brought back to earth by Skylab Astronaut Ed Gibson.  This two sided S/HK cue card contains procedures for all three crew members involving house keeping tasks which were all so important for daily life onboard America's first space station. 

This card measures 3" x 8" and is hand signed by Ed indicating that it was in fact flown.  It also comes with a COA hand signed by Ed Gibson attesting to its' history and flight status. 

 A very seldom seen flown cue card with unquestionable provenance.

This is THE ACTUAL checklist used on the Flight Director console by Neil Hutchinson as the MCC Silver Team helped the Skylab 4 astronauts execute the orbital workshop's last ever deactivation. This represented the FINAL closeout before Skylab's historic fiery rentery into the Earth's atmosphere. This is one of the most desirable Skylab MCC checklists of all. Sample scans of what lies therein are provided as you can see.  This checklist was annotated throughout by "Silver Flight".

Please note that the cover was reused from an eariler Skylab flight hence the sticker as shown in the scan but the contents are indeed for SL-4.  As the demand for Skylab and MCC mission utilized items growing, artifacts such as this are becoming exceedingy difficult to come by.

This will be accompanied by a hand signed COA from Neil Hutchison, "Silver Flight" himself.

Skylab Space Station and the Comet Kohoutek

This mounted b/w photo (trimmed) has been hand signed and inscribed by Bill Schneider, Skylab Program Manager.  He writes, "Ed, I'll bet you didn't realize you were that close to the comet!"

As you can see in the scan both the Comet Kohoutek and Skylab can be seen in this amazing image.  Photo measures 12.75" x 9" and is signed in black sharpie.

Ed writes on the reverse that this comes from his personal space collection and adds "SPT, Skylab III". It was displayed framed on his home office wall for many years until being offered for sale thru Farthest Reaches LLC. A most unusual and a highly desirable mission memento from the Astronaut himself signed by the Skylab Program Manager.

Skylab Astronaut Ed Gibson's uncommon and unflown bronze Skylab 4 Robbins medal.  It is approximately 1.5" in diameter with a raised mission insignia design on the face and the reverse is engraved with the Skylab launch date of November 16, 1972 and landing date of February 8, 1974.  These medals were not issued with serial numbers. Condition is mint although the scan is imperfect. 

A total of 80 bronze unflown medallions were struck for Skylab 4.  Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Ed Gibson, who identifies the medal as No. 53 (Ed's internal inventory #).  This is an exceptionally rare medallion seldom if ever seen available for sale.

Skylab FLOWN Flag
from the personal collection of Charles Matthews
Project Gemini Program Manager

The Skylab FLOWN American flag that is affixed to this certificate was presented to Charles Matthews, Project Gemini Program Manager in Octover 1981.  It was presented to him by Christopher Kraft who at the time was the Director of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. Kraft has signed the certificate as seen in the scan.  The certificate itself measures 14" x 11" and has some toning and some minor dimpling from over the years. Variations in color of the certificate are from my photography not present on the item itself. 

This flag was flown throughout the life of Skylab from 1973 - 1974.which represents many millions of miles in space and mesures 6" x 4".  This preentation has significant historical value given it's well known owner who played a critical role in the early days of our manned space program.

#Skylab Mem - Hutchinson Skylab Mug

Custom made in a limited edition of only 600. an approximately 1" x 4" fragment of Skylab is encased within a 16" x 20" black lacquer frame accented with silver corners.  Each fragment is designated by it's own edition number that has been engraved on a black and silver plate. 

In addition, the official Skylab first day cover that was issued in 1974 has been hand signed by each of the three Skylab commanders, Pete Conrad, Alan Bean and Jerry Carr.  Also included in this limited edition is a letter from NASA authentiating the fragment and a letter from Pete Conrad (pre-printed) detailing the three manned mission to Skylab.

The fragment, first day cover, letters and plate are tiiple matted and framed to museum quality under UV glass creating a striking three dimensional shadow box effect.

Please note that the signature of Pete Conrad is quite faded though still visible.  Of course it could be left as is given the real appeal to this item is the exceptionally large Skylab fragment.  Still, if need be the cover could be easily replaced with another should you so choose.  This is number 26 of 600 and was produced by Out Of This World Collectibles, Inc.

These photos presented to Skylab Flight Director Neil Hutchinson by the team of the High Altitude Observatory in Boulder in Colorado.  The first photo is accompanied by the letter shown on the left from R.M. MacQueen, Principal Investigtor, S-052.

The second photo presented to and inscribed to Neil Hutchinson with thanks by the "S-052 Experiment Team". 

Each photo contains informaton describing when and how it was shot. Both images measure 8"x10" and are matted to 11"x 14".  Very nice mememtos of Skylab photography that have been in the Flight Director's personal collection for many years.

Skylab MFA Medallion with FLOWN Metal

Pristine never before handled Skylab MFA Medallion and origional certificate awarding this medallion to NASA Flight Director Neil Hutchinson.  These medallions are tougher to find with certificates but to find one awarded to that mission's Flight Diretor is especially disirable.  The scan shows the medallion still inside it's glassine envelope just as it was given to Neil back in the day.  This one is a keeper.
