This 14" x 11" color photo from Al Worden's personal collection is authentically hand signed by all but one (missing Ed Givens) of the NASA Group 5 Astronauts selected in April, 1966.   Included are:

Vance Brand, John Bull, Jerry Carr, Charles Duke, Joe Engle, Ron Evans, Fred Haise, James Irwin, Don Lind, Jack Lousma, Tom Mattingly, Bruce McCandless, Ed Mitchell, Bill Pogue, Stu Roosa, John Swigert, Paul Weitz and Al Worden.

These signatures represent 9 Apollo Moon Voyagers, 3 Moonwalkers and a host of others.   This photo contains some moderate faults including a vertical closed tear at top due and some frayed edges from storage over the years, though the signatures look as though they were signed just yesterday and the image is bright and clear.  Group photos such as  this are extremely rare and seldom become available.  This piece of NASA history will be also be accompanied by a letter of provenance from it's owner, Astronaut Al Worden.

In his book, Apollo: An Eyewitness Account, Alan Bean says of 'Reaching for the Stars', "In one sense this is a painting of a universal astronaut, symbolizing everyone who flew in Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, and Apollo-Soyuz.  It also represents those who fly on space shuttles and will fly on a space station and on future missions only dreamed about at this time.  The astronaut is an emissary of us all, soaring away from our planet Earth....But in a broader view, 'Reaching for the Stars' symbolizes all of us who possess a dedicated and adventurous spirit no matter what our interests or age.

Twenty four astronauts have signed this print under their respective mission logo though as you can imagine there are still a few who could be added despite this being an outstanding collection of autographs unto itself.  The Astronauts who have signed include: Alan Shepard, John Glenn, Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, Gordon Cooper, Walt Cunningham, Rusty Schweickart, James McDivitt, James Lovell, Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean, Pete Conrad, Dick Gordon, Edgar Mitchell, Fred Haise, Charles Duke, Alfred Worden, Paul Weitz, Owen Garriott, Jack Lousma, Bill Pogue, Jerry Carr, Ed Gibson and Tom Stafford.

This fine art print is from the personal collection of Astronaut Al Worden.  It is one of the highly sought after Artist's Proofs (#83/150).  Artist Proofs are prints hand selected by the artist for their own use and generally presented to friends, family or other VIPs at their discretion.  The particular print was presented to Al Worden by his friend, Artist/Moonwalker Alan Bean.  It has never been displayed though is framed as received and includes all original packaging.  In addition to coming with the publishers original paperwork and COA, this artist's proof will be accompanied by a hand signed letter of provenance from Astronaut Al Worden.

Apollo 15 Flown To The Moon  Mission Patch

This very limited production A/B (4") Apollo 15 mission patch carries an embroidered "XV" in black just behind the mission symbol.  It was one of a three prototype patch set provided to Al Worden by A/B Patches for his consideration and was the ONLY prototype set provided to the Flight Crew. 

Making this patch even more special is that it was FLOWN to the moon on Apollo 15 by Worden.  It was stored in his PPK throughout that mission.  The fact that this patch was flown AND is only one of three prototype examples of Apollo 15's mission emblem makes this item exceptionally rare and desirable. 

As this is the last of the 3 patches, this one will come with the plastic that these three patches were sealed in which of course was also carried in Al's PPK on his trip to the moon and back. 

As you can see in the scan, Al has inscribed the reverse side with "Flown to the moon on Apollo 15, Al Worden"

This piece of space history is accompanied by an Al Worden hand signed letter of authenticity attesting to it's history and that it was flown to the Moon aboard Apollo 15.

Star Chart used by Astronaut Al Worden to train for his voyage to the Moon

The Star Chart offered here is of "Stars in the vicinity of Orion" and was actually used by Al Worden to train for his flight to the Moon aboard Apollo 15 in August of 1971.  Al has hand inscribed on this star chart accordingly, " I used this chart in training, Al Worden, Apollo 15.  This Star Chart measures 9.5" x 7.25"

For those of you who might be interested in learning more about collecting Star Charts, you are invited to follow the link below to what I consider to be the definitive article on the subject and best of all, it's written by a collector, for collectors.. 

In the last few years much attention has been focused on both flown and unflown Star Charts, particularly from the Mercury - Apollo Programs. Consequently, as their popularity has risen, their availability has decreased, making this an excellent opportunity to own one that comes with provenance from the Astronaut who actually used it, Al Worden.  As provenance goes, it just doesn't get any better than that. 

This chart affixed to it's stiff backing board has become slightly separated in the upper right corner.  This in no way detracts as the chart itself is in excellent condition, though it could be easily reaffixed if desired, or not.  Either way however, this Apollo Star Chart will undoubtedly make an important addition your space memorabilia collection.

Cancelled at Washington, DC on 9/29/98 which was the 100th Anniversary of the first Land Speed Record set by a Frenchman driving an electric car called the "Jeantaud" on a public road on the outskirts of Paris.

JS(CC)31 Thrust SSC Official Cover commemorates the Supersonic World Land Speed Record of 763.035 mph (MACH 1.02 set on 10/15/97.  It is hand signed at Farnborough, Hants on the 10/15/98 (1st anniversary of that record). 

As explained in information printed on reverse side, this cover was flown in a Tornado F3 of No. 111(F) Squadron by Squadron Leader Andy Green OBE RAF on an Air Defense sortie from RAF Launchers and return.  During the flight, the Tornado was flown low level at Mach 1.02, matching the precise speed of Thrust SSC in its unique record breaking achievement.

This cover bears a 26p ThrustSSC postage paid stamp and is hand signed by both Richard Noble and Andy Green both World Land Speed Record Holders This cover is certified on reverse as number 1043 of 5000.  Please note that although 5000 were flown, only about 2000 were actually signed as shown here, as the rest were contaminated by oil (believed to from a Tornado aircraft) and consequently destroyed.
